First Patek...

Hi All,

Recently I've decided that it's time to add the first complication piece to my collection and I am torn between the 5230R vs. 5205R. Totally different functions / uses, but wanted to get your opinions! Anyone out there that happens to have both?

So far I am inclined to go with the 5230R (maybe even put it on a dark green strap ). If so, is there a particularly long wait?

Thanks!

The 5230r would be my choice too, but it’s a very personal and entirely irrational decision, so only you can answer that question.

The 5230r is readily available, so that’s another thing going for it.

I like the 5205R, but it doesn’t matter what I think. I have seen them in the US.

I’ll go for the 5230R for reasons best known to me. You should make the decision you’ll love it after the purchase. Cheers

WT and AC are both great options for a first complication.

My first was an AC, but Patek WTs are a classic and I subsequently added a WT to my collection not too long afterwards.
