5 SS GMTs sold in 1 hour

A sales rep told me this while visiting the Rolex Boutique at the Wynn last week. All 5 GMTs they received sold in less than 1 hour.

Hey Jeff, Simliar story told to me when I was there. Its crazy how fast they are selling. I looked everywhere when I was there 4 weeks ago.

I am lucky to have gotten mine. I called a local AD, they happend to have one, held it for me for 4 days, and I went and picked it up. They are awesome and I am going to use them in the future.

It is a popular watch, but stories like this I sometimes wonder whether or not it is "AD speak" to maintain the price levels and create a notion of exclusivity if you are actually fortunate enough to get your hands on one of these 'highly sought after' mass produced GMT's.
I'm not in anyway disparaging the quality of the watch, which I do greatly admire, but I am very sceptical of AD's saying things like "I sold 5 in 1 hour".
Anyway, thanks for the info Jeff, at least I've had my rant

How are the prices in Vegas compared with the "standard retail rolex prices" ? Are they the same or are they more? I know the sales tax is 7.5% there. I'm going there next monday, I probably will wait to buy from my local dealer but it would me a neat memento!

Well I just DON'T understand it..

Clearly the center links need to be gold, and the bezel too, for that matter. Geez.
