Why no PM Milgauss?

Where’s the Platinum Blue Z? WG? YG?

I think a two tone Z-Blue would be very cool.

Huh?

Did you look at the Rolex professional catalog for the last decade?

Don't feed the troll, he's just busting chops because he doesn't believe in, "tool watches" and doesn't know how to use smileys to show lame sarcasm.

I'm not certain how PMs work for faraday cages. I know they should work but not sure how well they work in comparison to steel?

PM demand < SS demand

The Milgauss isn’t popular and Rolex doesn’t make watches that four people are going to buy.

The cage is a separate inner iron case within the watch. You can stick a faraday cage inside any case.

I think the only material that matters is the one used for the internal cage and you can’t see that so it wouldn’t be any different to using steel/brass for workings like cogs and springs etc.

I would like to feel the heft of a platinum MG and think the blue dial/green glass would go great with platinum.

I am strongly considering a Z Blue at some point. I would never consider a PM Milgauss. To go PM, there are so many more appealing references to me.

I'm sorry I don't believe that the internal portion is the only thing that matters. It makes more sense that the whole casing participates in shielding. I suspect the internal portion is an enhancement.

On what grounds? It’s a ‘faraday cage’ not ‘faraday cages’.

So the cage helps to block out the electro-magnetic spectrum (including radio waves and magnetic fields). Whether you wrap the cage up in steel, gold or plastic shouldn’t effect the rating of the cage.
