Pre-owned Rolex Servicing

I was told by a Rolex dealer that Rolex servicing
centers would only work on Rolexes that came from an authorized dealer.

Have been thinking about buying a pre-owned Rolex from a reputable on-line dealer - watchuwant.com - and they claim to have the original papers, warranty card, dealer stamp, etc.

Does anyone have experience with having pre-owned Rolex watches serviced? Any advice or am I being overly concerned.

I've used watchuwant.com before and had a great experience.

thanks

Rolex will service any Rolex watch that is authentic.

They will not know, or care, where you bought it from.

Great reply from Larry. This has been my experience thus far with both Tudor and Rolex

Well the dealer didn't lie... Rolex watches ALL come from an AD. Where they go after that is anyone's guess.

However I believe the dealer was using an underhanded sales technique.

Besides I'd never let a RSC touch my watch so long as there are good independents like Rik Dietl doing business.

Took a OP39 that stopped ticking that I bought second hand, not a dealer, but third party. Full kit to the dealer at my mall. Looked at me side eye, until i pulled out the warranty card and sales receipt (different AD) from previous owner. At the closed PA RSC until COVID slows down currently. No issues.
