Orlando AD going out of business 30-50% off!

Has anyone picked up any deals at Park Promenade at Mall of Millenia? They are advertising 30-50% off retail, but I hear all "Professional models" are gone. There still may be some deals in there for a nice gift for the wife.

That meteroit daytona on strap should be gone by now. I was there when some dude was trying it on and about to close the deal. His credit card was out already. It had some marks on the bezel, can't really polish because of the tych markings. Wasn't interested.

Other air kings and 1 explorer were only 25% off.

cant remember if it was on this forum or not, but if you buy from BBB your omega warranty will not be honored. From that I recall, since BBBs inventory was sold to a wholesaler, they are not an AD so the watch would be considered a gray market purchase...FYI

Nothing to do with Rolex, the retailer is going out of business and therefore wants his stock sold asap. And 50% is only on a few old unpopular ones.
They have some Datejusts left at 25%. That discount is nice but nothing special. So your remark is somewhat strange, no?

Dukester, no GMT's.

Just got back from the sale, Z Explorer I at 30% off, Air Kings, SS Lady DJ's all 30%, TT Lady DJ's, Lady YM Plat, Lady YM TT, Mid-YM TT all 35% off. There were a couple Lady Presidents with diamonds and TT DJ's. All the really good stuff is gone. I did look at a watch for my wife and decided she really didn't want a watch for Christmas.

Ok, this is OT I know but you have a Patek sky moon tourbillon on the way? That's not a watch you see every day . . . is that the one where buyers have to be approved by the Patek board of directors?

I was there last weekend as well and it had been picked over. Plenty of ladies watches, but nothing to interest me.

APPROVAL?????? A certified check for that kind of scratch can get ANYONE and I mean ANYONE approved.

Never know about the approval. Maybe just a marketing scheme. Even the watch is a marketing scheme. Seriously, maybe 10 people in the world can or would buy this watch and their last name starts with Bin....

their will be more stores closing after Xmas, hopefully they would have a watch I want. so far BBB in Austin is only offering 20% on most items and few watches at 40%.

nothing in Rolex in discounts other than around 10% off from local AD, take advantage of these going out of business sales if they do have watch you want.

How wrong you are my friend.

You try to walk in with cash or a check to buy it and you'll find out how fast you're out on the street.

And I mean WITHOUT the watch.

If you're not approved, (and this is for real) it doesn't matter if you offer them twice the amount for the watch, you still won't get it.

Welcome to the Patek world.

Are you serious Leo???

What is the purpose of doing this? So that a scum bag with that kind of money doesn't buy one? Hell, the grey market has 3 for sale.

You have to get an approval in person from president of Patek, Mr Stern
You cant write a check and buy it. You must be a well known collector, and Mr Stern needs to be 100% sure you will not buy it to resell.

I'm dead serious.

Of course you can find one on the grey market but the watch won't be in your name.

And right now there's about a 2-3 year waiting time to be approved.

Wowzers!!!!!!!! Thats crazy!!!!!!!

And, maybe a dumb question, but besides the value factor and the fact that you can walk into any AD in the world and have them give you a back rub what advantages are there to having it in your name?
