Year and a half in review
I got into high end watches last year around Father’s Day and started with the Speedmaster professional hesalite. Since then I’ve grown quite the collection.
Wanted to thank everyone here for the watch talk and opinions as it only serves to increase my interest in continuing to collect…I’ve had a successful run and now am branching out to different brands and moving to ultimate pieces like a meteorite day date. Considering WG Pepsi and adding a Daytona at some point. I want an A Lange and Vacheron at some point as well. Would love to see any suggestions thrown my way. |

Big jump from a Speedy to a Lange. What is in your collection, most here won't click outside links.

Nice to see an IWC in there. Vastly underrated IMO.

I agree with this. The rubber strap on this one is incredibly comfortable and made me re think getting the rubber strap for the seamaster 300 summer blue which I didn’t think matched all that well so went a different direction with the stainless Milanese/mesh bracelet. I know this sized isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but to me it’s a great incognito watch for coaching kids sports on hot days and having the chrono. I saw it on display at a hotel in Chicago when I was there a few months ago and just pulled the trigger a week or so ago.
I see that IWC doesn’t hold value as well but they can be had secondhand for great prices and if the plan is to wear them they seem to be a great watch and relatively good value propositions (if we can say that about any of these very expensive watches we all obsess over). |

The best advice is figure out what you actually like and wear most. I think you will want to not end up with a ton of watches that don't get worn. It might be worth looking into some cool vintage options as well.

Nice collection, for one year, you must have a great AD, I would add a DD with a nice dial as a special occasion piece or an oyster flex Daytona.

This is a nice collection for sure but I think it is too much too soon irrespective if you can afford it or not. You need to build a connection with the watches that you buy, so give your self some time to enjoy what you have and let your taste evolve during the process.

I’ve not been a big Daytona fan but do love the yacht master oyster flex. I’ll probably get a steel Daytona panda but honestly may like the white speedy more. |

I agree with this. I’ve been good about wearing them all for the most part.

Thinking about birth year black sub or sea dweller. Any other vintage suggestions?

Nice collection OP.
If you’re deciding to go vintage, go with a seller you completely trust. Vintage is a rabbit hole that only the very well initiated can go alone |
