Bracelet tighter or looser?
How do you all like to wear yr. bracelets? I like mine to be not overly tight fitting, and have a couple that are intentionally a bit loose.
I have noticed that in certain films & T.V. shows bracelets are worn loose, almost as a fashion statement. Currently my SS Sub is a bit loose w/ 10 links, (I have a slim wrist for a guy), but taking out a link would make it too close- fitting, especially for summer. Anyway, my preference is for a bit on the looser end, but I'd like to know how you-all like to wear them. Cheers, Larry. |

Like the watch band a little tight, just loose enough to get my pinky little finger underneath.

I'd like to wear mine tight all the time, but I'm drinking too much as it is!

On a serious note, I've noticed a lot of men wearing their watches, especially with the jubilee bracelets, very loose. It looks kind of neat but it has to be hell on crystals especially sapphire if they are prone to chipping. I like mine a bit loose but not to where I can turn it around under my wrist without unfastening it.

I like mine a tiny bit loose....but not so that it floats around. The Rolex tech told me that the movement is better wound if it is snug enough not to float. I had never heard that, but it came straight from the tech. So I moved my pins over one level, and that works well....still a bit loose, but not sloshy.

Same here. I don't like a watch flopping around on my wrist.

Now I'll have to try on some of my watches to find out if they pass the test. I think it's one index finger for me, kinda like JJ.

That's much too loose for me , JJ ! Don't like that heavy SD sliding around all over ! . I just like to keep it loose enough (1/8 inch clearance)

The whole idea of judging the correct fit is by inserting the finger only to see if it can go through between the bracelet and wrist. If it can, then you're fit is okay. Try it...you'll be surprised!!

This is something I cannot seem to get "just right". On a cool day I find my watch is a bit too loose but on a warm day it can be slightly too tight. The coefficient of expansion for my wrist is obviously greater than that of the watch! In a warm climate (i.e. outside the UK!) I occasionally even have to adjust the strap of my GMT as it can become uncomfortably tight.

My current way of wearing all my watches is a bit loose, which carries with it a kind of "can't be bothered" vibe. In reality of course, I guage the fit with meticulous (obsessive) attention, which is a must for that casual- negligent look. |

Just enough for the watch itself to slide over to corner of my wrist when it's on a high quality leather strap.
If it's on an SS band, then the one finger test. |

I prefer the watch firm.
Loose fitting watches can catch in things. |

I like my bracelet a little loose, the seasons change (as my wrist swells in the heat, and shrinks in the cold) I hate having the bracelet so tight it feels as if it will "pop" off. If I leave the bracelet slightly loose this problem is avoided.
