Really can't believe I got THE call...

When I got the call for this, I genuinely couldn't speak and thought my AD was pulling my leg.

I thought it was going to be for the Yellow Gold Daytona (in that dial, won't say the nickname as everyone gets offended by it) on OF since I've recently put some pressure on my AD as I wanted it before XMAS before it goes through yet another high price rise as with the case of PM models at the moment.

When she said no, not that Daytona, it's the Steel model with white dial (she said it so casually as well, probably to hear my reaction lol) - well I literally went quiet on the phone.

This is the call I've dreamed of receiving ever since I started my relationship with my only AD 6 years ago. In that time, my SA has got me everything I've ever asked for (Pepsi for my 40th, Tiffany OP for the wife to name a few) and never ever put pressure on me to buy jewellery or offered me watches that I felt I had to buy. She literally is one of a kind. A very humble woman without an ounce of ego about her. I know we will remain friends if she decides to leave one day. She gave me such a big hug and was just so genuinely happy for me when she saw me.

There are a lot of heavy hitters I know personally at this same AD that have spent way way over 6 figures (I am NOWHERE near that - not even close) and have never had the call for this so I feel very privileged that I was chosen for allocation. I'm just a normal guy, not any VVIP let alone VIP. Just feel like I don't deserve the call so just feel very lucky just buzzing, no other word for it.

I also got a nice gift, a Rolex wash bag

Exactly that. Very well put. Most ADs I've been too are cold and full of staff that can't crack a smile and just because they don't have any Rolex to sell you, they just rather not serve you at all.
My relationship with my SA is built up of 6 years of laughs and jokes and just easy flow convo. Even if she didn't get me this watch, I'd be grateful for everything she has got me. She got me my Pepsi in lockdown as she knew I would be spending my 40th not allowed to go out.
