Fair price for a Sea Dweller?

I'm considering a Sea Dweller. D293XXX - Serial in excellent condition with box and papers.

Is $3700 a fair price?

Thanks guys... just to get a better idea, would you say this price is:

a) Above average
b) Less than average
c) On point

Thanks again, I appreciate the help!

I'd say less than average. $3700 for a D series is a pretty good deal. I would expect that an average price for a D, would be in the range of $3900-4400, probably more on the higher side of this range.

Think that's a good price for a "D". I noticed the prices are going up, especially on the last produced "V's".

Very good price for a D. I have noticed a slight uptick in the used prices in the last few weeks.

I picked up the Sea Dweller today- thanks for the help! The seller didn't take my initial offer but I believe it worked out to be a fair price.
I'm planning on selling this one to fund a new (M or V) Stainless Sub. Stay tuned for pics!

Thanks again guys.

I love the "he didn't accept my initial offer" line from OP, which I'm assuming was $3700. He's really doing a good job of setting up the soon to be issued justification for selling way higher than $3700 (just a hunch). That said, no justification is needed as OP can do whatever he pleases. Good luck w/ the sale.

Ross, haha I love the thinking.
Yes, I did buy this particular watch with the intention to resell. I paid a very fair price and hopefully someone will also buy it for a fair price.
It's already up in the classifieds section! Let me know what you think.

I was provided with a price as follows:
Z @ 5900
M @ 6000

Both are new from a grey dealer. Good deal?
