16610LV Service Insert is?
When you have an LV insert changed at RSC these days, what pointed four variant do you get?
One of these shown below in this image from watchclub.com? I am aware that flat fours are "out of production." Or is there a separate service-only variant out there? OR in typical RSC fashion, do they give you whatever they have in stock? |

Not sure if this helps. Well I’m not sure if anything I type on this forum helps but..
This is a replacement bezel on my M serial LV. I bought it used and the original bezel had I scratch that I didn’t put on it so I had it replaced at the RSC during a service. |

I had mine serviced a few years ago and requested no polish and not to change the bezel. It has two small scratches on it. I would rather have everything original.

Thanks for the information - some inserts on the secondary market (pointed four) are asking huge premiums over what a service one costs.
I think some are earlier, rarer versions that came on the earlier LVs - like the ones shown above. I'm still not sure if there is a standard service style LV version that's being distributed currently. F |

If you have an early lighter color insert (ie: olive or sour apple like example B3 above) with thinner numbers then they can be worth more to many collectors. These are considered Mk II and typically found on later F and many D serials. Don't replace those if at all possible. Obviously a flat-four insert on an F or Y serial is worth a metric ton. For anyone reading this thread, please don't replace those no matter how scratched they are. |
