Which watch on which rubber strap?

I'm considering putting a rubber strap on either my Rolex Submariner (114060) OR my Sea-Dweller 4k (116600).

I love both watches, and would like to swap one bracelet for a rubber, purely for variety and versatility.

Which of the two watches do you think would look best with a rubber strap?

Also, should I go with the Rolex Oysterflex strap, or a third-party alternative, such as Everest bands?

Thanks in advance fellow TRF'ers.

Sea-dweller would look better due to the lugs imo, however i’d keep that on a bracelet personally.

Would try the sub on a cheap alternative first to see how you get on or i’m sure someone here has done it already and can post pictures.

Thanks Jonny8. My initial thought was to keep the SD4k on the bracelet, placing the rubber on the Sub. Keen to hear the stories of others, and of course, see those wonderful photos!

Hi,

Unfortunately, 114060 maxi case is not that well paired with any other than the original bracelet, IMO.

Attached is my watch with Rubber B strap, which is superb in quality, but much better with watches with smaller lugs.

I just put my Sub on a rubber strap, Ive been liking the look for a while and rather than swap to a YM i thought this was a decent option. Happy with how it looks and gives me a different look when i want to change it around.
hope it helps

Yeah, the 114060 doesn’t look right with a rubber or leather strap. It’s no different than all those watches out there with an integrated bracelet design. If you take the bracelet away, it looks a little off.

I've tried my Sub on a Rubber B strap. It's okay for like a day or two and then I want the bracelet back on. Just looks better with the bracelet IMHO.

IDK -114060...looks kinda sporty to me. Good look for a casual summer dress code.

If you like it...rock it.

I like the look of your gold Submariner on a Rubber Strap … that is a very good look with the Gold Case and Black Bezel.

Interesting. I definitely do not want a Leather. But I’d have thought a viable rubber was an option.

What I did with my Rolex Submariner black dial black bezel is I put a rubber B black strap. and for my deep sea seedweller c a m e r o n dial I got the swim skin from rubber B. I had my authorized dealer put the swim skin on the deep sea Sea-Dweller and he said it looked as if Rolex had actually created the swim skin for that watch. I do know that the seedweller is not as thick as the deep sea Sea-Dweller so you may be able to use just a regular black rubber bee strap rather than a swimskin but I'm impressed by the swimskin on the heavier deep Sea-Dweller.

Thanks for the responses. Not any closer to a decision, will continue to think on it.

I bought a Rubber B and returned it immediately. The quality was what I’d expect for $25 off Amazon not $250+. You can get a good NATO strap for $30 to mix it up for both watches.

Out of the two I’d try the sub on one
