Trade polar-ND vs 126600 question
If i would trade in my 114060 from 2017+ a 2018 216570 polar for a new 126600, how much returning cash should i aim for??
If i would trade in my 2017 submariner and pay extra cash for a new 126600 how much should i look for?? Probably it would be a bad move that i won't do anyway…. Any advice of you guys? |

Trading two great watches that are comfortable to wear, for one watch that is big and heavy and uncomfortable ?
Not a good idea. Keep the ones you have, they are more subtle.. and they are TWO different dials!! I had the 126600, and sold it after 2 weeks... Very heavy and big.. and the Cyclops was very ugly and out of place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Oh i know the itch very well lol. But trust me, it isn't a good idea... If anything, sell your sub, save a little, and then get yourself and SD4K. I tell you, the Sea Dweller 4000 is the best watch Rolex made... Size is great, comfortable, built like a rock. And it doesn't exist anymore lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Look at the asking prices for the watches you are moving from the TS and subtract 5-8% for what you will get on a trade. Look at the asking prices on the watch you want and knock of a few hundred dollars. That will be the difference.

My opinion: I don't find the watch uncomfortable...or "very heavy" or "big." I've worn bigger and heavier. In my opinion, this watch is about middle of the road these days. As far as "out of place, IMO the cyclops is in the right place. Over the date window. OP: if this is what you want to do, OK. But, I wouldn't trade both watches for it. Keep the polar for a little diversity, dial color, and the GMT function. |

I figure that whenever someone is considering a trade like this, it’s usually inevitable.

I would not trade both of those watches in for the 126600. Maybe trade the ND Submariner in towards it, as it looks similar. The 42 mm Explorer II is a pretty darn useful watch.

My view is trade he sub and try the SD43. You can always pick up another sub if it doesn’t work for you with it too much financial pain. Quote:
I appreciate it’s not for everyone (no watch is) but you speak of the SD43 as if it’s some kind of abject failure in the line up. Quote:

I know we like pics on here so here’s a picture of my big, heavy, uncomfortable watch on my relatively small wrist.
Hint. Only one of those adjectives is true Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lol.. yes it's over the date window. What i mean is, the dial didn't seem to grow with the watch, from 40 to 43, the bezel just became thicker... Small dial, thick bezel, with Cyclops, made it a bit uneven for me. That's why i got the SD4K. Better for my wrist too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well, 2 weeks on my wrist for 24 hours is enough i believe. For me, it was a pretty hefty watch. Not just because of the size, but the bracelet was wider too. Not as top heavy as the Deep-sea, but definitely has it's presence on your wrist. The bezel, IMO, was too wide, giving the dial a smaller feel, and a shinier look due its greater surface area (which isn't for me). The SD43 is certainly not a failure. Or else it wouldn't have been off the shelves so fast. But for me, the exp ii is as big a watch that I want on my wrist. Plus, i love the Sea Dwellers history, and the course it took. It has always remained the same watch across the years, so changing it's size suddenly distorted the relation it has with it's fans. Well, me at least lol. OP .. how do you feel about bigger watches ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would either: 1. Sell the ND and get the SD. Or 2. Sell the ND and get a sub date. Agreed with others, not a good idea to get rid of both for something you may or may not like.
