IWC 5007-02.. .thoughts

I dont know much about the IWC market as I am an AP guy but i really like the 5007-02. There arent many of them for sale and i would like to know its relsale value, desirability. I dont want a watch I am going to lose my shirt on. I have seen the blue dials drop more than half in value. I would appreciate any feedback and thoughts on the watch.

Buy used if you’re worried about resale, because it’s not great.

+1. Even with a great AD discount, you'll still lose a decent amount if you sell later. Buying used is the way to go with pretty much all IWC references.

I love how they look and sit on the wrist, and the movement is nicely done.

One thing keep stopping me from getting one is the curved spring bars that they use for the OEM strap. I am just not a fan of curved spring bars.

Desirability ; well, do you want it ?
resale ; you said it yourself with the blue dial...

it's a lot of watch on the secondary market for $7k, 7 day reserve, solid, well finished movement and case. The curved springboard were a later addition, straight will fit fine if you want a gap between strap and case
