GMTmaster bezel spring help?
Hi - just checking if anyone might be able to confirm the part number for the bezel spring for the 16700 and 16710 please? Not sure if both use the same spring and if it might be 317-16700 or 317-16710? Many thanks.

The original bezel spring was shorter and made the movement stiffer in one direction. It was also stronger so the end would wear and break off making it a uni-direction spring.
The later springs, and likely a later part number, are longer to eliminate the issues with the original. Either will work.

.
I believe you are asking about Bezel tension spring but you are quoting the "317" part number which is for the "clicker - bezel click spring." I believe the correct prefix for the tension spring is or was 316. |

The part number for the longer, improved click spring that Larry mentioned is 317-16628.

So, I should be seeking the clicker spring which moves the bezel in half minute steps and for the 16710 would be part number 317-16628? Have I got this right? Thanks

The older style short click spring is 317-16760 and the improved, longer spring is 317-16628. Either one will work and function the same, though like Larry said, I find the newer style to have smoother rotating action. Will fit all sapphire crystal 5-digit GMTs; 16760, 16700, 1671x.

The part number for the bezel click spring that is compatible with both Rolex GMT-Master II 16700 and 16710 models is 317-16760. This spring is designed to fit various GMT-Master II models, including 16700, 16710, 16713, 16718, and 16760. The early shorter spring used in the 16710 model was replaced by the 317-16628, but the 317-16760 should work just fine for your purpose.
