The deepeea is a gorgeous watch and has real world applications.
However, the nasty fugly yachtmaster II is nothing more than a glorified paper weight or door stopper.

Interesting. DSSD vs. YMII. Real world applications. A very small segment will ever use either's functionality. It is probably more likely a YMII will be used to count down the start at a race than a DeepSea to dive down over 10,000 ft.

All the Rolexes are over engineered and I doubt many use their "tool" watches for what the application they're meant to be used for with the exception of maybe the GMT and Explorer II. Although I doubt people use the 3rd time zone function on the GMT.

I also have to say, I actually think the YMII looks great in white gold with the silver bezel. Pictures just don't do it justice. You have to wear one/try one on to appreciate it.

I was at an AD in Cincinnati today and the salesman was wearing a Deep Sea. Too big and at the bottom of my list IMO.

The Datejust Royal Black is just....nasty. And I think Rolex ruined the high-end GMT IIs with too many gemstones on. I think I agree with the others about the bling...a classy watch is an understated watch

Not a real fan of any modern day Rolex especially now that rolex rolex and all the rest of the not needed fonts and shiny bits etc.But not a fan of the SS daytona great movement shame about the rest. Now say a 6263 bezel and dial then I could get to like one Modern day Rolex.
