Yes I think the patina on this one was quite vivid. And nice contrast with the faded service insert.

It looks very nice! Did you do any laser welding on the lugs?

Looks like you can post video as long as it is Windows Media Video (WMV) format, although I have never done so myself. I'm just looking at the same popup window for uploading images, the paper clip…and it clearly mentions wmv just no specifications on sizes. That said, I would still keep it fairly small. Although, at this point given you have more than 10 posts, you can post links to videos on YouTube or Vimeo.

Not much needed on this one.

Can you share with us your experience and background in watchmaking? Is there such a thing as a Rolex account for vintage parts?

I don't know what kind of smart phone you have but here is a short but concise video on creating and uploading video to YouTube that you take using a smart phone, tablet or other device. This guy uses an iPhone but has downloaded the YouTube app from the App Store.

https://youtu.be/Ie2njI1ad1s

There is also another editing program you can use on your iPhone posted in the description of this video but that I did not even look at. Anyways, this video also tells you how to create the "description" of your video and add "TAGS" and such. Tags will help people search for the video on YouTube and other search engines, like Google. Tags examples for your type of thing might be: artisan watch, artisan watch case refinish, rolex case refurbish, refurbish rolex case, 5513 case refinish, rolex 5513, refurbish your rolex, recut rolex case, refinish rolex case, etc… You can include several tags and capitalization of terms is not required. if you just write them out in a word doc you separate with a comma, then you can cut and paste the whole lot into the TAGS window. The description you create for the video should support the search terms as well and provide a teaser of what the video is about. You could also just upload the video to YouTube and then use the tools on youtube on your desktop computer to add the description and tags.

I do server and workstation reviews for my company and my editor will just upload the video and I will create the description and tags for the video among a bunch of other parameters but YouTube will pretty much walk you through the process. I think this would be the best way to not only be able to show your work but also to get your name out into the ether by making it searchable through search engines. Put your name in the tags too.

Youtube will also provide the code to embed your video into web pages and whatnot. BTW, you can also set the video to Unlisted, Private and Public. the first two will allow you to play around with the video settings prior to making it available to the masses, AKA Public setting.

Hope that helps and good luck!
