16610 "swiss only" inquiry

Hello TRF!
I have been browsing this forum for a while now and have even purchased a few things however, here goes my first actual post.

I have a question regarding A serial submariners- Do ALL A serial (1999) submariners etc, have a "swiss only" dial, or do some of the very late A serial examples come with the newer "swiss made" dials.

I ask because i recently picked up a later A serial 16610 (77xxx) which has a swiss made dial, at first i just assumed it was a service dial but after some reading im not sure. It has the paperwork with a purchase date of march 27th 2000.

Any input and help is greatly appreciated.

A serials are not "1999".

All of the letter prefix serials were made/released over a period of several years, and ran concurrently with other letter prefix serials.

A serials were in the heart of the 98/99 changeover to Luminova, but they spilled out in both directions.

It’s not a Sub, but I have a 16710 in the late A serials that has SWISS MADE dial.
The dial is original to the watch, which was bought in July 2000 by the original owner.

My 16613LB with Swiss only dial is an A serial but it’s 6 digits after the A. First two numbers are 12. Does that mean it’s a later or earlier serial number?

Similar here...I had a 16710 with late A (A8 I think) serial and August 2000 papers, with Swiss Made dial.

I believe this would mean its an early A serial.

Thank you !
i do believe, from what im hearing from other collectors, is that Late A SERIAL watches often came with the newer swiss made dial.

I think i can happily think mine to be correct and original.
