Help with value estimate please

Hello All,

When I was in Viet Nam in 1967 I bought a Rolex Submariner for $125 at the Base Exchange at Cam Ranh Bay that, alas, was stolen from me some years later. I would now like to replace the watch. Being a novice at Rolex watches I am not sure of the exact model but in looking around online my best guess is that it was a 5512 four line meters first. My question is, how much should I budget for a 1967 Submariner in excellent condition with box and papers? Thanks.

For a nice condition 5512 4 Liner Meters First B&P except to pay between $8,500-$10,500

Sorry to hear about the theft of your watch. Wow, $175 for a Submariner!! That's incredible. Now it's like 8,000 for a new Sub. The vintage 5512 Meters first probably very collectable, and expensive.

well then i'd add about 30-40% min if you can find one with punched number papers ..complete with the punched beaureau swiss timing cert as its a chrono certified watch...but its not an easy find !!...especially now they aren't being cobbled together every week .....hopefully.
