Batwatch and Op
Ok guys so since approx 2008 as a student and working part time for what I’d say is one of the best jewellery shops in the UK, Prestons of Bolton, I have always wanted a GMT master 2. Now knowing the crazy world of Rolex sales from a sales prospective I decided I needed any Rolex lol, so I started with a 2006 rolex turnograph from Prestons ofcoarse, now I still want a GMT master II but have been offered a OP ( not sure on which size ) in say Feb next year, I was wondering should I pull the trigger and hope a GMT may be an option later as I dont ever plan to sell any watch I own ?

Rule #1 of buying watches: only buy a watch you love.
These are luxury items that don’t come cheap. Don’t just buy a watch to buy a watch or you’ll find yourself out of cash and unhappy. This is the opposite of how you should feel when you spend your hard earned money. This is my long winded answer to you to wait for the GMT |

Which colour they are offering you? I would only get it if you really want as getting an OP 41 will give no guarantee of getting a GMT |

I think the Turn-o-graph is a hundred times cooler and more unique of a piece than an OP. Every Tom Dick and Jackass has an OP. I'd hold on for the GMT

Working for a jewelry shop that sells Rolex, you must have seen already and tried the OP on your wrist, right? What did you make of that, how did it feel? Seems to me it didn't make you forget about the GMT, thus you might want to enjoy your Turnograph and wait for the GMT. In the meantime, other models might come up which you like even better than the BLNR. That's what I would do, anyway.

The OPs are great and imho a perfect Rolex!!! For me I'd prefer it over a GMT the complication for which I've no particular use.

GMT without doubt. Its what you want so why consider an OP just because its readily available. I would put money on it after a few weeks with the OP you would realise you've wasted money on a watch you didn't really want.
