Proper Papers
Bought the SS Sub early this week. Now eyeing an oyster date. Question on warranty papers;
I have seen some with the country code and serial number displayed in large punched hole fashion and then I have seen some with the serial number and no country code typed on the papers as opposed to punched? I t seems all the US domestic papers are typed and the international origina papers are coded and punched. Is there any rhyme or reason to this variation? Does model make a difference? Thanks |

Rolex USAis the reason for your papers being what they are. Also, it has a 2 year warranty as opposed to the 1 year I've seen on older papers.
Are the int'l papers currently showing a 2 year warranty as well?

So, in the US, papers have no country code?
To be honest, I did not look at 1yr versus 2yr coverage. I simply saw the papers with no country code and thought something may be fishy? |

Rolex USA is a Separate company,from the parent Rolex Co thats why papers are different,and now all Rolex world wide have 2 years warranty.And watches are exactly the same as all parts of the world.But Rolex USA just likes to get a full srangle hold on all ther products. And dictates to there customers even what they can do to there own watches.

That might be the "official" word from Rolex USA at work, but I've had warranty work performed on two second hand watches before... once in '03 and then again just last month.
