Newbie looking for authencity

I have a person wanting to sell me a Rolex that is suppose to be from around the 1995. He gave me the serial number to look up (K327242), which Google fails to help me there. He described it as a "Oyster Perpetual" (?) that's 100% made gold.

That info provides very little to help you with. If you can post pictures of the watch, that would go a lot further to help you. If you can post pics of the watch and accessories (box and papers, if available) that would go even further to helping you.

Well, that's a bummer. Of course I can't provide images since I'm not the owner. All I was told is that I can look up the serial number up somewhere online, which happens to be hogwash...

All I can find online is a chart of serial number of when watches are made, which confuses me more since I'm not quite sure if I'm reading the chart right.

If you're buying from a local seller, don't just take his/her word for it. Meet at an authorized dealer (AD) or certified Rolex repair shop and have them authenticate it on the spot. They will need to open the watch up. The normal charge is $50 or free at an AD if you're lucky. If the seller is afraid to do this, walk away. Good luck.

A K-serial should be from around 2001 not 1995. Is this watch a day-date or datejust or date etc?

Oyster Perpetual-refers to the movement type "Automatic"

Have you seen the watch?

Stick around here a while; you might find you learn more and mike like a different Rolex than what you're looking at right now.

Adding to this, its a Datejust for Ladies.

Looks something roughly like this:

But the rim outer rim isn't crested with diamond.

Still doesn't help. Really could use some pictures to even remotely be able to assist. But as Chris said, you stick around there is a lot to learn. And as Jeremy said, a K serial should be from around 2001. I'd walk away from this one if the seller told you 1995.
