Coronets and lettering
I have done some searches on the history and evolution of the coronet and lettering, and all mention the style and font changes, but nothing in regards to what exactly is the material. From the detailed photos I have seen, some look laser straight almost screen printed, and some look almost like accurately applied cake frosting. Is it paint? Mine is from 1999 and has the cake frosting look under a loupe.
Thanks in advance |

On second thought, I suppose releasing information regarding proprietary methods and materials will only help the counterfeiters make better fakes.
Carry on. |
