How about that vintage 1680 Invicta release!

Finally they’ve found the way to us vintage geezers with this new 1680/8 piece that also flirts with Invicta! 😂😂

Another bank balance on the wrist-athon from Big R .... Invicta mobilizing their copyright/'passing-off' lawyers !

surprising to be honest. The steel version wasn't much of a great seller anyways. This would be nice if it wasn't as thick.

Agreed. But without that thickness, it wouldn't be able to reach the ocean floor, and hence would no longer be a "deep-sea".

Not a fan, though. TBH quite underwhelmed with rolex this year. I think it's in many ways intentional that Tudor keeps "stealing" the show year after year. Part of their strategy, no doubt, to corner the "achievable" enthusiast market, as well as the exclusive "luxury" market.

Well played, Rolex.

with that chunk of gold on your wrist you'll not be needing any diving weights.

We’ll see if Invicta will move from 70% off on their pieces to say 50-60% off due to this release: )

I like gold. I have five gold Rolexes (1012, 2x1013, 1601, 1803, three on bracelet) and lots of other gold stuff, but modesty has its place, even in gold watches. That SD looks like it weighs more than all my watches! It truly is the new Rolex Invicta, doubly so now they've discontinued the Clown Master.

I think I can count on the fingers of one hand, the Rolexes I've liked since the introduction of the 6-digit watches. It seems like they're trolling us with half of these nowadays

Sadly, Rolex is more and more a reflection of the aesthetics of (most of) their new client base. Rather than dictating the trends, they follow them. Nothing new there, but it all emphasizes the divide between the vintage Rolex world and what it’s become.

Yep, Tudor '58 'Coke' GMT more interesting, (but only just), than any new Rolex this yr imho.

Apparently it is 332g on the full bracelet, the steel DSSD is heavy enough as it is. The titanium HEV on a yellow gold case, doesn't look good IMO.

It's just way too over-the-radar. You'd be mugged for it immediately.
