My new U-Boat Capsoil "Oil-Filled" watch
I just snagged the new U-Boat 'Capsoil' oil-filled watch from a demo at my local dealer:

Interesting, I'd like to see that in person. I'm in Charleston also, does Demetre have any more? So, when the battery needs to be changed, I'd assume it has to be sent back to U-Boat?

I'm pretty sure they don't have any now, as I don't even have the box for mine. All other battery watches I've gotten there Demetre replaced OK, but I don't know about the battery here. This is so new I'll be learning more soon. And I will stop in occasionally and bug him to get more - the chrono here, and the non-chrono too.

I got the demo from the U-Boat rep who was visiting. I'm following up to get the details.

I certainly think they obtained their goal of making the crystal invisible. I like the retro looking curve, it is similar to the Oris Carl Brashear. When pushing Demetre to get more, I'd be interested in the non-chrono edition.
I guess my concern with the battery is the oil fills the entire case....I think. It'll be a while before we know (hopefully) but I am interested to see how long the battery will last. |

Dont bother buying
Every year battery will need replacing, U-Boat want it for 4 months to change as there is such a back log. They will not supply the oil. Its easy to change but you need the correct oil
