Tutima Quartz
I purchased this model(now discontinued) from a Tutima dealer after it had been completely restored. Can't tell from new. The most amazing thing to me is the accuracy and it's ability to maintain time for a long period, of time. I'mm judging it by the day daylight time ended here in the US. Set the watches and clocks back. I had nor really bothered much with this Tutima as I had several other pieces occupying my time. Completely astonished is how I felt when I checked the watch for + or -. It has barely gained + 1 second since the end of daylight savings. To me that is incredible. I have never owned any other quartz watch that was that perfect.
This watch has a titanium case and bracelet. It has a divers extention built in. The dial is very visible in the dark. It has an orange 60 second hand on a center sweep. A ten minute counter dial at 2, date at 4 and a 12 hour dial at 2200. The date is easily changed by rotating the hour hand. The second is not effected so your watch continues keeping accurate time. It has a screw in crown and is water resistant to 10 bar. It is a German military model and designed for tough going. |
