Do you own a PM watch?

Let’s see how common PM really is in this echo chamber of watch collecting.

I think one of the good things about TRF is despite it being mainly about Rolex watches the members here have very individual tastes and opinions on what differences and nuances suit them… and they are willing to debate the differences respectfully.

I wouldn’t call it an echo chamber. Not when we have 10+ page threads on relatively imperceptible differences between 11 and 12 series Daytonas.

P.s. I own at least 1 pm watch.

I made an almost comically stereotypical progression.

Wore SS Sub for years, was never interested in two-tone. Then woke-up one Sunday to find I'd developed a passionate interest in two-tone. Bought a two-tone Daytona, swore it would be my last watch. And it was. Until last year. When I traded the Sub and Daytona for a yellow gold P-serial Daytona on black leather strap (116518). Was absolutely enamoured with it. Swore it was my last watch. And it was. Until last Saturday. When I traded it in against Chrono24's cheapest full yellow gold K-serial Daytona in Europe (116528). What - what - a beautiful watch.

This is clearly my last watch :-D

It's hard to explain but once you get your 1st PM on bracelet (my OF isn't the same) a steel watch doesn't feel the same.

A 42mm AP offshore in steel has a similar heft and feel.

Don’t have a PM, but I’d like to eventually get a Pt DD36, smooth bezel, with either a white, black, or silver dial.

♛- Yet to be determined, but a white 16520 is on the short list. (I believe that I'll be able to read it better than my old 116520)

yep, this is my situation as well. I know others have said that once you go PM, you'll never go back - but, I'm wrist weight sensitive, so that is a no-go for me.

If TT does not count, then No. As a female I do have a lot of PM and precious stone jewelry, though.

Never had one although I’ve certainly spent enough on watches over the last 40 years to have a few. They simply don’t fit my lifestyle. Most of my career was spent in collaborative office jobs that were ultimately customer service related. Never had to dress up, a PM watch would have been ostentatious there. Now retired and quite active in cycling, I will wear my OPs and BLRO while riding, my Daytona generally doesn’t much.
I sort of think a vintage Daydate on strap would be cool but pretty low priority.
