Why is Jubilee bracelet so hard to come by?

I have been looking for one for my 2023 Batman, and have reached out to several dealers and nobody can source one. Are they that really that hard to come by?

My AD told me he could get me one for $1200, but I don’t believe him.

I've read here and other informal sources that it's easier to get an oyster bracelet if your GMT has the jubilee bracelet than it is to get the jubilee bracelet if your GMT came with the oyster bracelet.
Speculation is that the jubilee bracelets are in short supply relative to the oysters.

Rumor has it you can order them directly through Rolex now

My AD is trying to get me one

Someone on Reddit said they already sourced one from their AD

This is new since last week. Dallas RSC confirmed you can order one through an AD via a call Monday. Give it a try

An AD told me this week that Rolex cut them off from ordering them on September 1st due to supply issues.
You'll hear a different answer from virtually everyone you talk to.

London RSC agreed to do the bracelet swap from Oyster to Jubilee (on BLRO) in mid 2022 but the Jubilee didn't turn up until early 2023. They had long stock delivery lead times and low volumes, but we got there in the end.

These cost 2200 msrp. I got from an AD but it appears sometimes they can order and sometimes not. I’m not up to speed as already acquired

I called Pieter Andries in DFW. They said they can order them but have to see the watch in person to confirm (must be a strategy so they don’t end up on the second hand market) I still have one on order with my longstanding AD.

The simple answer is they are more sought after, than the oyster bracelet. It seems to me that Rolex does not make it a priority to sell just bracelets, so they do make extras, but don’t think of them as a separate sales item. In other words, once again, demand is greater than supply.

A BLRO and a BLNR are (2) of the NIB Rolex sports watches I purchased in 2024. They are both on oyster bracelets and after delivery it bothered me that I didn’t have a Jubilee option for them. I purchased a NIB Jubilee from a trusted seller here and it’s unused and unopened and still 100% in its original wrap and packaging. I fell out of love with the BLNR (I’ve owned 2) and sold it in July and have no plans to put the Jubilee on the BLRO so I’ll probably let the bracelet go at some point. I would have to look but I believe I paid ~$2900 delivered for it this past Spring....

So NIB GMT Jubilee bracelets are available, but it’s just like the watches, it’s unlikely you can walk into a Rolex shop and purchase one at MSRP tomorrow..

Good luck

Call it artificial scarcity, controlled supply, marketing strategy, Rolex dictatorship, or any of the above, but let’s not kid ourselves by saying it’s harder to manufacture. We’re in the 21st century people.

100% baffles me how people who have enough cash to spend money on these luxury goods lack some common sense.

Guess that’s why they say “common sense ain’t so common”

I don't see the need to chide or deride anyone who pays the price for a Jubilee to have the option of switching bracelets.

The market is the market.

They can get them, there aren't many available right now, but they are available... And they pop up in the Classified section here fairly regularly.....

Anyone here can get a BNIB GMT Jubilee, but it's not going to be at list price... No different than a new Pepsi GMT, a new Blue Sky Dweller, or a new Daytona watch....

I don't see anything artificial about spare bracelets being in short supply. Demand is running ahead of supply, it happens. It's not like people can't wear their GMTs on Oyster while they are waiting, and I don't suspect dictatorial manipulation by evil gnomes in Geneva.

Rolex's policy is as follows. If you have a GMT with Oyster and want a jubilee, you pay the jubilee and you have to give Rolex the Oyster bracelet. That is, you pay the jubilee and lose the Oyster.

I was in the Rolex Service Center in NYC a couple of weeks ago, while I was there someone came in and bought a Jubilee for their Oyster Batman. I remember overhearing the price but wasn't really paying attention, I was thinking it was $1700.

I called back in May to purchase an Oyster for my GMT. They asked what I wanted, as they could not acquire the Jubilee. Since I wanted the Oyster bracelet, they said no problem, but have been waiting since. Not certain any individual bracelet is easy to get.
