Plat Daytona…
… right, I officially told my AD I’d like to be considered for a Plat Daytona. They’ve already sold me 4 Daytonas, they’ve been really good to me, so there’s a tiny weeny minuscule little chance I guess.
I guess I’ll prob update this thread in 10 years with a “I’ve been offered” :) but by then I’ll be retired and poor, and the only watch I’ll see will be a round one hanging upside down affixed to someone in a white coat On a serious note - happy to wait for as long as. Not in a hurry (and will not buy from grey mkt at all - given the price jump). Either AD, or no deal! |

I don’t know but wouldn’t think they’d be so hard to get these days.
FWIW, I love mine!

Be ready. Not many want or can afford this price point these days.

Think it depends on a few factors. I've requested this watch as well along with a few others from my AD. I've also spoken to other ADs that have a handful of people on the wait list, which could stretch the wait awhile since these don't come in very often.
In fact I've heard some ADs only get one every other year so it's just a matter of staying on top of things and you'll (we'll?!?) get the call soon enough. |

People tend to forget these were often sitting in the case before the recent hype years. I think you’ll get it within months.

Op, you never know, after 4 Daytona’s you have a very strong relationship with the AD.
They don’t get many Platona’s maybe 1 per year and that’s some ADs only. I believe that reference requires approval from Rolex for allocation? Not 100% sure? I would say that your chances are better than most. Good luck, Cheers, |

This was my first thought. I wouldn't exactly be holding my breath, but I'd check my available funds just in case.

I love your patience and sticking to your guns with the AD—sounds like you've built a solid relationship, so who knows, that Daytona might come around sooner than you think! It’ll definitely be worth the wait. Keep us posted, and here’s hoping it’s not a 10-year saga!

Saw one sitting at my local AD a few months ago. I'm sure your AD should be able to locate one sooner than expected.
