DSSD vs PLOPROF

I've been looking to pic up a monster diver and these are the 2 that are haunting me. I won't be wearing it for every occasion but will be on my wrist most of the care free summer days at the beach bars, in the water, ect. I only want to add one beast so which one suites me best, DSSD or PLOPROF?

Sorry but the Omega does not look great in my opinion but the Deepsea is the bomb!

DSSD, the omega looks weird and I am sure the rolex will be more desirable if you were to re sell or trade one day.

Can't choose.

For me, the DSSD is a far better fit, but that PloProf looks gangster on your wrist.

Regards,
Adam

PS - There's some nice hardware on that table in the background...

One good thing about the PP is that it has the normal four minute markers between the hours, whereas the DS only has three between the 15 and 55. If you're timing your dives, that could be confusing (to me anyway).

The rolex!

Never owned an Omega so hard for me to comment. The only omega that has crossed my mind is a vintage speedy.

Ploprof! Not something you see often, unique, slightly bizarre and purpose built.

In an unbiased way the DSSD, just looks better and is a more all round watch, the Omega not so much

I wish I had a bigger wrist to wear a ploprof. Not a big deepsea fan, prefer the plan 40mm Rolex divers.

Wait a minute.....

The PP has a smallish dial in itself, but it looks bigger here than a Deepsea?

I RARELY, if EVER recommend another brand over ROLEX...especially Omega...BUT if you're going to get an OMEGA other than a Speedy Pro? It's a Ploprof. It's a solid watch.

This is a quality thread. Good question...

The DSSD if you're planning to wear it for anything else other then for diving.

The ploprof for a cool and very specific diving watch.

I've owned both, I currently own neither, They are both great pieces, the Omega is more over the top than the DSSD by far, partially due to the incredibly thick shark mesh, it truly is a monster where as depending on the size of your wrist the DSSD can masquerade a little more. By the way - both were incredibly accurate. And , if it matters or not the PP is a pain in the rear to adjust the bezel at the start of a dive in the water compared to any Rolex I've dived with. Just something to consider if you are actually going to dive with this watch. Visibility on both, great! Dove with the PP for the novelty of it, my main dive watch is an Oris Pro along with a Suunto D6I

I love Omega, but not that one. Nothing about it appears comfortable to me with possible exception of the mesh.
