Could the SD43 be my one & only?

Just throwing this out there...
I keep having these crazy thoughts about throwing all in and becoming a one watch guy.
The watch I was thinking to be my one & only is the SD43.
My current collection is SubC date 116610LN, Sub TT 116613LB, Omega Seamaster 300MC, Panerai 673
Could you guys live with one watch & would the SD43 be the one you chose?
Group shot of my watches below.

Comments welcomed...

I think you’re either a one watch guy or you’re not.

Could the SD43 be a one and only .. absolutely. The same argument could be made for almost any reference I suppose.

I own the SD43 and although I think it’s an absolute beauty, I don’t think it’d be a one and only, but that’s just my

I love my SD43, and it monopolizes much of the wrist time for me, but man, you’ve got some beauties there. It would likely be hard to give those all up!

If you want to be a one watch guy, the SD43 is a solid choice

Solid choice but I wouldn’t use a cuff buster as my only (I know it fits but can’t be smoothly alll the time)

I can and i am a owg, the Sub being my choice. But wasn't just recently that you added another, the tt lb, and now you say you're thinking of letting all go? I wouldn't part with the 2 Sub Date you have, at least not the tt if you would want to keep just one.

Yes, only just got the TT in December 17.
I do love it and all, but I keep having the old guilt pangs about how much money I spent over the last few years - which I'm sure we all have from time to time!
Obviously, I would be gutted to set them all free, I just wondered if the SD could ease the pain a little.
I'm not 100% sold on the idea yet, like I said, just a crazy thought at the moment.
Very interesting though getting everyone's opinions..
Cheers guys

Yes - that had always been the long term plan in all honesty, I just keep having a bit of a hard time justifying it all to my inner conciance..lol.

Why not sell the Sub date and either the Panerai or Omega and test it out? That way you can see if you could really be a one watch guy without having to ditch everything.

Fair point - I have had the good fortune to try an SD on - but only for a few minutes in the AD.
I guess the best plan would be to get the SD first and then decide after a month or so how I felt about it ...

Certainly it could be your one and only IF you were just starting out. Much the way newbie's start out with buying their first black Sub. You have too much diversity now and you will get bored with the very sterile look of the SD43.

Yes, appreciate any watch could be a one & only, I just thought the SD43 ticked a lot of box's.
Can I just say I adore your blue faced Panerai
(apols, I don't know the reference)

Even though Iv just bought another sub I can tell you iv not taken the SD43 off it is a widow maker , the size is just right the red text is just right the bracelet is just right all of this highlights the personal gripes I had with the small blocky sub and the hunky blue eyed dssd so when sd43 come along with the reading aid for its and my 50th Bingo

I’d trade the black sub and the omega and keep the others. Would be a great trio. Yes the 43 could be an only and I really like it but it’s nice to have a little variety for a change up. Personally, I enjoy 3 watches. Any less I’m a bit bored, any more I don’t feel like they get enough time to justify. But that’s just me....

I agree that the SD43 is near perfect IMO as well

Thank you it's a PAM 690

It couldn't be a one and only for me, however it's definitely one I have to have

I actually do like the look of the SD43, the mat dial is quite a contrast to my gloss Sub - but I also appreciate the novelty may wear off after a while if it's the only option.
It's amazing isn't it how when you have a few to chose from you sometimes just stick to one, but if you only have one, you yearn for more.. lol

Know where you're coming from - since I got my Daytona, hard if not impossible to wear anything else, and can't imagine wanting to wear anything else.

Even the thought of another Rolex...getting harder to wrap my head around. Wanted this particular watch for years, and two weeks it, it just keeps getting better.

Wonder why I waited all these years now..... :-)

Did you off load everything else?
Or are they now just gathering dust in the old watch box?

yes, you could become a one-watch guy and enjoy the SD43, but I guarantee you'll be infected by the nasty Rolex bug again (especially if you frequent TRF) and buy another one.
