I like all 3, but the blue one is truly special in my opinion!

I really dig the blue dial with red GMT hand. Not a fan of the yellowed LE version, though... I wonder what the price will be...?

Prices are in the link, which I just fixed.

3,600 euros for the LE yellow, and 3,200 euros for the other two.

What are your thoughts on these? Specifically the yellow LE?

Can't say I'm really blown away by the designs but I think a 9F GMT is an interesting move by GS. I'll need to see them in the metal.

I dig 'em. Nice at 39mm. Bracelets are more sport too.

Wow! This would be a killer if Seiko used the hi-beat GMT automatic and Pepsi ceramic bezel

Finally a 9F movement with an independently adjustable hour hand. 5s per year doesn’t help if you have to stop the watch every six months they daylight savings.

One thing making me pause is I want to see what else is made available on the JDM scene. They offer dozens more GS quartz models in Japan than in the rest of the world, and I expect there will be a few more quartz GMT models to choose from there sooner or later.

The bezel looks rather familiar!

Looks nice but I see the 5 digit Explorer II in the bezel and design.

It seems they are not as popular as I would have thought. But they need to only sell 800. Well, 799, I put my deposit in on the yellow. I have been debating between this and the north flag, I like the yellow accents for some reason. I like color on my watches.

Grand Seiko 9F GMT Announced

Hi everyone,

I have been close to buying Grand Seiko a couple of times, but there has always been something to hold me back.

Today I went to my AD to put my name down for the limited edition. I like the yellow accents and overall design of the watch. They said they are expecting the watch to arrive maybe November, so let’s see when the SPGN001G arrives and I get to see it and try it, if it’s the one Grand Seiko I’m going to buy.

I’m really excited about the watch and don’t mind it being a quartz even though I usually prefer mechanical movements.

What’s everyone’s beef with the bezel font though. I bet if they used another font people would be saying they should have used one like the EXII

Doesn't sing to me. The design remind me too much of a Rolex Explorer2.

GMT has always seemed to me to be the perfect fit for quartz because you could primarily use it for your travel watch and it will always be ready to go because of its multi year power reserve and dead-on accuracy.

yes the bezel is derivative but I am in favor of any sportier 9F. when i grabbed a sbgx291 it seemed like the sportiest 9F available at the time. the black and red reminds me of my old TOG

Thanks for sharing Adam. It’s an interesting looking reference. I’m not sure about the inner rehaut treatment ... I’d love to see one in the metal

I actually really like this watch. I want to see it in the flesh though. 39mm? Awesome.
