Watch on while u sleep or off

As a little kid i devloped a habit of wearing my watch while i sleep. The light of a bed stand clock bothers me so I'm the middle of the night when if I wake up I can look at my luminous makers of my watch and see what time it is.

Is this an odd habit?

I certainly have heard of several TRF'ers doing this. Not my cuppa tea, but not unique.

One member was in the military / formerly in combat. He said it became a habit while at war since one would not have much time to put on a watch / react if attacked.

I feel like I've come across this thread before...like some sort of "thread deja vu" I can't wear a watch while sleeping, it feels 'weird'-constrictive. Also, My partner banged me in the face the one time he wore his 44mm Panerai to bed....gave me quite a cut.

Bill, let's just say after a trip to the ER and three stitches later he won't make that mistake again! (It was that Panerai crown guard thing that did it!)

i think there's already a thread like this...
anyways, when i'm at home, i usually remove my watch. i move a lot when i sleep and might (or have already) bang up the watch on the headboard...
but when i'm in the field, that usually entails sleeping in h/motels, i usually wear them.

Right before I go to bed the watch comes off and is carefully set on my dresser. As soon as I get up and cleaned up, the watch goes on until I go to bed that night. Oh yeah, I don't wear my glasses to bed either.

I always take it off when I sleep, if I'm staying overnight at some new girls place - maybe it stays on...

I'm too scared that I'll swing my arm, watch in tow, into the headboard and scratch or ding it, so no. : (

Cannot see any point in wearing any watch in bed.

On. I'm so accustomed to having something around my wrist, that it feels like a part of my body is missing if I don't have a watch on. Maybe it would work with cuffs too?

Not any more, Earl, My wife put a stop to that after about a month.

But I do sleep in full "battle rattle" otherwise. You just can't be too careful these days....I just leave my boots by the side of the bed

usually sleep with the watch on except for my new 116613. If I don't take it off, I can't fall asleep because I keep on looking at it's B-E-Autiful blume!!
