Auction Fever!

Another successful sale of vintage Rolex today at Christie's auction of important watches in Dubai!

My 3 favorite:

1. 1980 Tiffany Pepsi GMT 16750 $35,000
2. 1978 Daytona White Dial 6263 $35,000
3. 1978 Daytona Black Dial 6263 $40,000

Sale estimates were well below these prices, which don't include the 25% buyer's premium.

You can view the entire sale and results here:

Prices were ridiculous across the board. I feel like location played the largest role in the auctions success

I'm pretty sure those hammer prices DO include the buyer's premium.

I know it had a Tiffany stamp, but holy hell, $35K for a 16750?!?! Stop the madness!

$20,000 for a 1971 1665, estimate $7 to $9k?!?
Yeah, definitely location had something to do with it.

Is it true that all the proceeds from this auction are going to be donated to the World Hunger Bank, and other worthy charities.....
