Anyone have a picture of polished vintage submariner with a new/replaced bracelet?
I’m trying to see what it would look like to put a new bracelet on a polished vintage sub. Thank you

If the polishing was done right then the brushing on the bracelet should match

Just wear the bracelet for a few months and ... problem solved.

I'm thinking it will look like a new watch…? I think Larry has the right of it—this is a logic question? Maybe check out a vintage Rolex ad.

Only question I’d have is whether 904 steel is the exact same color as 316. I find 904 to have more of a blue tone to it whereas 316 to have more of a warm tone. The 904 has more nickel and more chromium while the 316 has more iron. Here’s a comparison from the web, left is 904.

^the above assuming you mean new as in 6 digit bracelet (which I don’t know if it even fits). If you mean new as in new replaced 4 or 5 digit, probably would match just fine.

So now we have threads asking whether a polished vintage Sub will look funny with a new bezel ring, a new crystal, or a new bracelet. I sense a pattern emerging.
I can't wait to see what's next.

Very helpful, thanks. I’d be looking at a bracelet from the period of the watch so it shouldn’t be an issue, I don’t think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Any 93150 bracelet, whether new or used, would work just fine. I've had a few 1680s over the years in various conditions, along with bracelets ranging from stretched/old, to brand new with stickers. They will match up and look fine.

A lot of us geezers wear our 1680/5513:s on 93150 bracelets instead of 9315 (and keep the original one in the safe)…but I guess you were looking for a pic of a 6-digit bracelet with 904L steel…never seen that and I also doubt that the end links will fit the case very well…

Tudor/Rolex 1982 - 94110 w/Literally brand new 93150 I bought for durability. The 9315 isn’t a good every day solution.
