GS going to add micro adjustment bracelets.

That’s what I heard. About time. Let’s see.

Where did you hear that? I asked Joe Kirk at a GS event and he said probably not this year but they are working on it.

Federico had it on a you tube released this afternoon. Might not be true but he seems to know what’s going on. I’ve sold him several GS watches.

I never understood why Seiko Astron bracelets have on-the-fly adjustments and it's not an option on GS. The Astron clasps are just slightly bigger than GS clasps.

Yes, I hope so, too…. But look at what IWC did for the Ingenieur. Maybe micro adjustments aren’t always better.

There are so many things wrong with Seiko & Grand Seiko bracelets that a micro-adjustment clasp will hardly make a difference…

They need tapering too.

The current bracelets look too cheap, literally caused GS to lose at least one sale from me.

The other day I saw a watch with micro-adjustment clasp. I was shocked and thought it was a knockoff lol

Wonder if it’ll be accompanied by a price increase.

I’d expect so. Are you suggesting they should do the work for free?

Agree. My 20mm bracelet only tapers to 18. It really needs to go down to 16mm at the clasp.

I don't hate GS bracelets like others do but they can certainly be improved, along with the clasp. Comfort-wise I've always found Grand Seikos to wear very comfortably on my wrist.

This is, along with constant "limited edition" models that come out all the time are probably my biggest complaints about GS at the moment. Yeah, they are minor gripes but still.

I agree. The current bracelet is fine, it just isn't commensurate with watches that are in the high four digit price points like we see many GS 's today.

I think the bracelets also fall victim to the genius and beauty of the dials. The expectation is set high as we initially focus on the dial. We naturally expect the same level of precision and quality to extend into the bracelet. For many it doesn't.

I prefer GS on strap for this reason and would welcome an upgrade.

Good analysis. I agreed. Expectations are high and the bracelets don't live up to the rest of the watch.
