I saw one available and on display at an AD over the holidays at the end of 2019. I am not a big two tone fan but was surprised how much I liked when I tried it on.
Good luck in your search |

A basic sub isn't in especially high demand, if that's what you mean. A recent-purchase mint used sub can be casually found from trusted secondary-market sellers for only a little more than MSRP plus tax.
Assuming you mean the two-tone root beer, secondary-market prices suggest that those are still in some demand. Prices for stickered, new ones from trusted secondary-market sellers look to be maybe $1k more than new plus tax, although non-stickered would probably lower that to retail+tax or very close to it. Since two-tone watches are otherwise not hard to find at all, that still represents a fair spike in demand. AD waiting lists for any in-demand product can be anything from two weeks to never, depending on the AD and your relationship with them. Asking us that won't get you useful answers. Ask your AD. |

Last week an AD notified me about buying one. She also had two 2-tone Subs (an LB & LN) along with a Deep Sea.

My AD has the full RG Root Beer GMT for the last 4 months. I swear they wouldn’t source a TT Root Beer for me, hoping I would just pay full price for the RG one. I see several TT Root Beer on the secondary market close to retail. If you like it, buy it.
The AD is right - I’m thinking about the full RG root beer though. |

Pretty easy to get.
When my wife was shipping for my Pepsi a couple weeks ago, almost every dealer she contacted offered her a root beer as an alternative. Didn't sound like it's that hard to get. |

TT Root Beer is harder to get than FG Root Beer. Depends on the market too. Hulk, Batgirl, SD43, Subs are being offered by ADs now as well.

That's one of a few cool Rolex watches I have seen in stock in the case at a couple different ADs last Dec.

Lucky you guys; in UK (and I know in Italy as well) the wait list for the TT Root Beer is definitely long and the premium you have to pay to grey dealers is £2,5 / 3,0 K.
I do believe that something will change with this crisis, let's see. |

I have been on the wait list for TT root beer before the "stay home" order, still waiting.
I think the solid gold root beer is a tougher sell but I have not seen TT root beer sitting in the case.

I have been offered 3 TT Rootbeers, out of those 3 I bought one for my wife, There is really no demand and are pretty easy to get. Black market price is similar to retaill with taxes.

If we are talking at ADs - I think geography plays a part in demand.
I live in Australia and if my city (Sydney) was in America it would be the second largest in the entire country (by population). That's a lot of people trying to get a small number of watches, plus a small number of ADs servicing a very large number of people. Demand is off the charts for any SS/TT reference in Australia - particularly Sydney, which is quite an affluent city anyway (but know it is the same country wide!). There's a wait-list for the wait-list for Subs, TT Subs/GMTs, etc. |

You shouldn’t have to wait for long to land one of these.

In my city, TT rootbeer is not that hard to get, but it isn't that easy also, it never sit in show case waiting for the buyer. You should tell SA that you are looking for that timepiece, when it becomes available, please let you know. It should not be too long for the waiting time.
To me this timepiece is one of the most beautiful Rolex watches. |

It's easier to get then a SS Sub near me. My AD had two at once near Christmas, I was offered and tried one on, nice but it didn't sing to me besides I do have a Blnr.
