Hello all,

I wish to share my good fortune at an Australian AD.

I mentioned I was hunting for either an Explorer II or Milgauss for an upcoming milestone birthday, and within six weeks I received a call to collect this beauty.

Need to wait till next year before my family allows me to wear but honestly, I would happily wait several years knowing I have secured such a wonder piece. Thankfully I have a spiffy Black Bay to tide me over.

I don’t know, I got through the past three years on false hope waiting for the JM green dial Daytona, never imaging the AD would lose his Rolex franchise in early 2021?!

I am based in Brisbane, and registered my interest at the Rolex AD in the CBD.

Surprisingly, it was the Gold Coast AD that called me with the good news, and I travelled to the Coast the same day to collect.

I will keep my fingers crossed, and hope the Sydney AD will contact you soon.

Langfords are weird like that. They only have two stores but they don't seem to allocate watches between them from head office and won't send watches between stores.

Congratulations on your purchase but in all honesty I have had the the opposite experience with them. There's one lady in the Brisbane store who is the most condescending and unhelpful staff member I have ever dealt with. The few times I've been in there she has told me they have nothing for me and to go down the street to The Hour Glass. Their Gold Coast store was just as bad and one of the SAs (who wasn't even serving me) loudly scoffed when I mentioned my interest in a professional model.

The Hour Glass on the other hand have been friendly every time I've been in.

I don't get this.
I put my expression of interest in with Watches of Switzerland on 12 February,and was advised on 16 February my 124270 was ready!
No previous experience with Rolex nor this AD.
