Makes sense - it's a numbers game.
Rolex represents the vast majority of luxe watches on Chrono24. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I was going to honestly ask "HOW?!?!?" after reading just the title.
Compared to almost any other watch brand, Rolexes are notoriously difficult to obtain from dealers, especially for new watch buyers. Makes a lot more sense it's chrono24 data.

Rolex Is the Go-To Brand for First-Time Watch Buyers, New Data Shows
When someone asks me what my first watch was, I always say Rolex. I never mention all those Seikos, Citizens, and Bulovas I had before. But I guess they’re referring to “luxury” watches.

The data could be skewed in another way, too. There are probably a lot of people who've never bought a luxury watch before because they truly don't care. However, with watches having recently been considered more of an "asset class" they are purchasing out of an interest in making an investment, not buying a watch. I doubt the survey is taking that into account.

The cynic in me says that maybe Chrono 24 is choking on Rolexes at the moment.
