how do you store your watches?
So when you're not wearing them, how do you store your rolexes?
Do you put them in a self winding box? just a regular watch box or something else? I'd love to see some ideas :) |

I used to use a winder. Now I just use a Pelican case with custom Styrofoam cutouts.

Mine are in a large safe. The Rolex are on winders. The Pateks are not on winders.

Two watches in rotation at any given time. One on the wrist, the other in a winder and I tend to swap over daily.
The rest in a watchbox. Watchbox in a safe. |

I use a "Watchpod" each can hold 3 watches, they sell them for single watches as well. It protect watches very well, and it's easy to hide. The watch boxes/papers are in a safe.

All are in a watch box in my safe. Safe is bolted to floor and to studs in the wall.

Safe. Have a winder, but use it maybe one time a year when prepping for a busy week and will need a certain watch.
Can't stand the idea of a watch running and being worn. |

I have 4 watches in my current rotation. 3 quartz and my daily Rolex are either on the sink vanity or it’s top drawer. 1 Rolex is in the safe waiting for my wife to give it to me to put it into rotation.
At some point might want a winder... —- I have others not in rotation, probably should inventory and store them better. Over the years have lost a few... |

In my Phase de Lune case. 3d printed a bar to old the bracelet in place in the roll too. I travel with 2 perlons, 1 nato, and the bracelet. I don't really care for the OEM rubber.

I store mine in the case it came in. I wanted to get a winder, but my AD actually talked me out of it.

I've got a couple of El Cheapo winders with 12 slots between them. Most slots are still, Four are in motion for watches I want to wear quickly or which are hard to set. I also have a fair number of non winding slots. Here is as old image with the collection quite different from current but it'll give you an idea. The primary point is a non damaging site for storing unworn watches.

Used to just put them on the winder. Now they go in the safe, on a winder.

I learned the hard way as well and all of mine stay put in the safe unless on my wrist. Don't use winders either as I enjoy setting my watches and getting reacquainted.

I keep a few of these Otterbox Pursuits around. One stays in the glovebox for the times that I shouldn't be wearing a Patek or equivalent.
