New to AP - Two-Tone Rose Gold RO

I’m new to the AP game, but interested in the two-tone rose gold Royal Oak (Ref. 15550SR.OO.1356SR.02). Any thoughts on how realistic that is to obtain as a new customer, with no purchase history or intent to buy a less desirable piece? Appreciate any thoughts or AP wisdom!

Any RO is not easy to obtain. However the best thing to do is to head into your local AP dealer and inquire.

You really never know these days.

Two tone should be easier than SS or even all precious metal.
I don't think there is nearly the demand for TT as other options.
You need to go to your AD and inquire.

Thanks all. Made an appointment at the AD in Vegas when I’ll be in town in a month, but I won’t be back again anytime soon so hoping to strike gold that day!

Getting your hands on that two-tone rose gold Royal Oak can be a bit tricky, especially as a new customer without a purchase history. AP tends to prioritise established clients for their more sought-after pieces. It might be a good idea to start with something a bit more accessible, build that relationship, and then work your way up to your dream watch.

Ain’t gonna happen.. Just find it from a grey dealer if that’s what you want. You can try, it’s not impossible but it will take you a year of “visits” etc.. If you’ve got the money and want the watch just buy it somewhere

I appreciate the candor, that’s what I came for! Was hoping that perhaps this was the dog of the RO collection and walk-ins had some luck. Have the money for the watch but not for frequent Vegas AD visits or buying an even more expensive AP.

I highly doubt any boutique is going to have any RO's for immediate sale, two tone or not.

That's a woman piece. Go for the discontinued 15400sr, much better buy.

OP might be a woman...? No indication otherwise.

Not a fan of the TT RG/SS, but your money, your wrist. I'd give the AD a shot or two, if not... life's too short, just buy it grey & be done with it. I'd rather have it in 48hrs than spend X amount of years trying to make an SA swoon for my credit card.

That’s a fantastic choice, two-tone Royal Oaks are true head-turners! As a new customer without purchase history, it might be a bit challenging to get one directly from an AP boutique. These models are in high demand, and AP often prioritizes clients with established histories or those willing to start with less hyped pieces.

That said, it’s not impossible! Building a relationship with your SA and expressing genuine interest in the brand could help. It might take some time, but patience and persistence are key with AP. Otherwise, the secondary market is always an option, though it comes with a premium.

Good luck with your hunt, and hope you land that beauty!
