Everest for Tudor Black Bay - Pics and Mini-review

I’ll try to keep it brief ladies and gentlemen.

I’m blown away by this strap. It’s really changed the Black Bay game for several reasons.

First off the quality, fit and finish is superb. The integration and tolerances are perfect. It’s also the most comfortable way I’ve ever worn my black bay, and if you know me, you know I like to tinker with my watches. So I’ve worn my BB on multiple rubber straps, leather, NATO and OEM bracelet.

The OEM bracelet looks great, but I’m between links and could never get a truly comfortable fit. The strap versatility on the black bay has always been a huge positive. However, the case height is an issue for me. It wears well because of the flat case back, but the lug holes are in a terrible location for the appearance of traditional strap wear. Wearing a strap exposes a huge gap as well as the entire wall of the case, which is tall and frankly unsightly IMO.

This integrated Everest Band solves all those problems while looking amazing.

Any questions feel free to ask!

Enjoy the pics! Will follow up with wrist shots.

Chadri, that strap looks pretty much perfect with your Black Bay.
Nicely done.

I think the Black Bay should come with these instead of the bracelet or leather. These are the best Black Bay Straps.

I haven’t pulled the trigger yet on a rubber strap for my Black Bay because I’ve been saving for another watch. But I’ll get one soon. As you know, I have a RubberB on my explorer which I’m very pleased with and will probably get another for the BB. I only prefer it over the Everest strap because it’s just a little bit more tapered. Other than that, in my mind, they’re equal.
I have to say though, you nailed it with the Everest.

Can’t go wrong either way my friend! I’d be interested in checking out the rubber b for my BB as well, but I don’t have the clasp needed to wear it :(

Soooooo... what’s your next watch!?

Everest for Tudor Black Bay - Pics and Mini-review

Bruhhh... You just made me drive to my local AD to try one on. Your IG feed this morning was fantastically enabling. I agree with the case on my wrist sat a bit higher than I expected. The crown is a little larger than I expected as well, almost to a comedic level; but It looks more balanced with the black Everest. That combo is a drooler for sure...

Thanks for the review. Had the chance to try a prototype at a GTG with Justin, one of the owners of Everest. Also I’ve had one on a Rolex Exp so I had been waiting for what seemed an eternity for the BB strap to finally come out. Looks great

Haha thanks bro. It is a fantastic watch anyway, but I never really found any one set up close to perfect.

This strap really ticks every box. It’s pretty awesome.

I have an order in for a Nomos Tangente 38. I should have it in about a week.

Congratulations! That is a beautiful piece. Your second Nomos if I remember correctly right? You must really like the brand. Seems like a great value.

Wow looks amazing, Chadri! I had the same problem with my Black Bay and that’s why I sold it. I wish these straps were available before I sold it...

Damn! Sorry to hear Peter. As I said, this totally changed the game for me. I’ve always loved my B.B. but it was starting to lose some serious wrist time cause I had a hard time finding a solution that both looked great and fit like a glove.

I wear my BB mostly as a “beater” for lack of a better term. It’s my work watch. Which means I wear it liberally, but it also means it MUST be comfortable.

Hope you can get another. To me this is the number one way to wear it, and I’ll
Occasionally throw it on leather or bracelet for a bit of fun.

Yes, it’ll be my second Nomos. Paid $500 below MSRP, so great bang for the buck for a terrific watch. Needless to say I’m a big fan of the brand.
May go for a Stowa Flieger next.
