My Holy Grail just seems to get more elusive.

For about 3 years now I have lusted with an extreme vortex suck for a Daytona with a meteorite dial.

Saved, and saved more and then "life happened". My daughter was diagnosed with an extremely virulent strain of cancer and my beautiful wife was told that she had a congenital hip defect that would require a hip replacement in her 40s.

So......

Grail put on hold and my precious wife and daughter took focus. And $$$$$!

If I never experience my grail watch I am blessed as I have learned that my grail watch is actually the health and the lives of the ones I love! I will gladly leave this life never having attained my grail if only I know that my wife and daughter are okay. That alone is my grail!

Sir as you stated...you already have your "grails". Watches mean nothing in comparison.

Well said...what we do is fun and sometimes compulsive but does not amount to a hill of beans when life puts things into perspective for us. Best thoughts and prayers to your loved ones.

I can't say it any better then Trace, Josh and Florida, I am sorry to hear about your challenges Richard but you have your grail already; a watch is just a watch.

My Holy Grail just seems to get more elusive.

Hoping for a speedy recovery for both of them! As much as I love watches they are minuscule in comparison to family.

My Holy Grail just seems to get more elusive.

As fast as life changes one way it can change the other.

Health and Happiness are keys... Focus on health and happiness and you may be surprised how the elusive things you search for are found and acquired.

Best wishes to you and your family...

Richard,

I too will pray for you precious daughter, your wife and for you as you face these challenges, that as a father of two little girls, are hard for me to imagine. Hang in there together.

Exactly. I am sure they will be ok and that you will be able to get that watch sooner than you think. After all, you have all of our support

Watches are a hobby and always should pale in comparison to our love of family and the ones we hold dear to our hearts. Glad to see your priority are aligned correctly!!!!

The health of our loved ones is all that is important in life. This hobby we enjoy provides us with superficial trinkets that we can all really live without. Health and happiness is the only grail worth chasing. I wish your wife and daughter a speedy and full recovery.

Same here.

Watches are very insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

Thoughts and prayers are with you my friend. When stiff like this happens, who cares about a chunk of metal.
