Looking to get first Gold rolex
Always been a fan of the professional line. Have an old 1993 Sub (my first) and a Stainless/White 2009 Daytona as well as several Panerai, BR, and Tags.
After being out of the watch game (other interests) for a few years Ive got some new interest and thinking about: (1) GMT Rose gold Root Beer (2) Sub 41 Yellow Gold/Blue (3) AP Royal Oak Offshore Doesn’t seem like the gold professionals are too popular. I think from photos I really like the look of the Rose gold/Brown GMT but I hear it get damaged if you just look at it wrong? There is very little I find even if I search the forum Love to hear what folks experience tells them. |

The gold Rolex Professional models are great. Don't worry too much about scratches or gouges as they can be repaired to a very nice level at some point in the future. I personally prefer ceramic bezels on high use watches so that the face at least looks fresh all the time.

OP- I think first you need to decide which you like more YG or RG? I went WG first, the RG, then YG... Going precious metal is a slippery slope (in a good, but expensive way)

I ended up buying the YG Submariner with the Blue Dial Bezel as my AD got one in stock and offered it to me. I still have my name in for a RG GMT but we will see if Im still interested if and when they call me.
Thanks everyone |

Looking to get first Gold rolex
I bought the gold sub earlier this year, always wanted it. It’s nice.
But I got a gold offshore recently and love twice as much. My favorite watch to wear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

1) GMT Rose gold Root Beer - I see less of this one than the others you mention.

I walked into my AD about a month ago and I hadn’t yet purchased from this store. I did start a nice dialogue with one of the sales staff. I stop in from time to time to say hello and recently I walked in and was offered a full gold 41 mm Blusey. I bought the piece on the spot and absolutely love it. There is something about Rolex full gold that’s transformative. The weight, the shine, and the overall beauty of Rolex yellow gold has made this my last watch. I’m 60 and retired and can enjoy it everyday without worry living out in the suburbs. During my working corporate years definitely not. Now is the time to bust out the gold for this guy and I’m loving it. And I wasn’t even looking. 😎👌
