What is the Ceramic part?? The case and bezel still looks like metal to me?

In typical Panerai fashion nobody seems know anything about delivery or availability. I have requested a 311 and 317 along with others but who knows for sure. I am still unclear as to how watches are allocated to ADs. I do not think all ADs are created equal and do not know where my order is in the pecking order concerning other ADs.
