ID/ Legit Check Universal Geneve
I purchased this UG today from an antique/ watch store. At first, I was in love but upon arriving home and looking to ID it I found similar references that made me question its authenticity of it. I know there’s been some work done to the watch, for example, the second hand is not original nor is the crystal and the Lume has been repainted. That doesn’t bother me at all, what does bother me is that the UG text looks a little crude and there is no grave accent over the second e in Geneve. Also, the new crystal obscures the outer ring of the dial but I don’t believe it says Swiss at the bottom. Any information would be appreciated. This is my first vintage watch purchase and I’ve already learned my lesson. It’s a whole new world and you really have to put in the research before buying anything.

I know the condition isn't great but is there anything specific you can refer to? I am no expert on UG so I don't know what to look for. I just liked the watch and bought it. I am fairly confident I can get my money back still...

Not sure what you mean by Eeesh. Could you please be more specific?
