…from where do you buy your Rolex?
…from where do you buy your Rolex…AD, grey or both? I have bought from ADs only as that’s what I feel most comfortable doing.

There are at least two other avenues: private sellers and auction houses.

I’m guessing the question is based on new or near new watches?
As mentioned by Omar-Rye at least two other options based on watches of any age |

I buy the best watch, in the best condition that I can find. As long as I trust the seller, I don't care if they are an AD, a grey, a blue or a pink.

So far from ADs only. I am open to resellers but only at BELOW retail prices - it is the matter of principle.
I waited one and 5 months respectively for my twi dream watches and would do it again. Grey resellers prey on impatient and impulsive buyers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Discontinued models from grey, new from AD whenever feasible.

I generally shop at AD. If I find something I really like but I can't save it in AD or the waiting time is too long, I buy it on the secondary market.

I bought every watch from an AD. I wouldn’t be comfortable going grey. I know there are many respectable grey dealers but there are so many fake watches around and they must come from somewhere

I don't understand how it's possible that a completely new model Rolex GMT-Master II
"Batman" 126710BLNR Jubilee is cheaper at an AD compared to buying it on the gray market, chrono24 etc. |

My first Rolex was BNIB from a TS here on this forum. It was a DJ 41 and still had the stickers on. It was offered at a sizeable discount. The next 5 were all bought new from an AD. All from the same AD.

I have purchased from my AD but once the craziness started I went Trusted Seller. I like to sell/trade and most of the AD's act like the watches still belongs to them even after they sell them to you. The level of service is always outstanding from our big Trusted Sellers and that is not something I can say for most AD's. More money, but I get the watch now and don't have to play games.

SS and TT has been ADs and PMs often greys as before the hype they were 30% below retail, while ADs often wouldn't go more than 10%.

Think of it as greys mark up 10% for every 3 months expected wait at an ADs, thats the time/price trade off, so if a year then it will be 40% etc. Seems to have worked for them for the past 7/8 years

I find it quite opposite, actually. In Australia at least, you can only trust ADs whereas others will always screw you one way or the other Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So far, I've bought from ADs and from the Auction Houses. I will only go AD or maybe grey from a Trusted Seller on TRF. The auction house prices are always above grey market prices and then there's the issue of watch authenticity and who's financially liable for a fake watch from the auction houses.

Rolex is about the only brand that I would consider getting from an AD anymore. No point in buying Omega, GS, IWC, etc. new when you can easily get 30% or more off going grey.

Only ADs for me. A watch is a watch and to me not worth one more penny than retail. Plus I only trust it is authentic from an AD.

I have purchased a couple via ebay. With their authentication process, I have not had any issues and was able to get what I wanted instead of playing the games at an AD.
