Is this crazy? Should I do it?

Hi everybody,

last year I have sold my Sub 16610 LV (yes, the classic one) just to get the new 116610 LV.

Now, I am seriously thinking about selling the new one just to get the old back..??!

Is this crazy, some kind of paranoia, what do you think?

Should I do it?

Fresh opinions welcome!

Tom

No. I mean don't do it. Prefer the 116610. But if you feel that fliping back is what you need, then go on!
Doubt that anyone can give you better advice than this.

Why do you like the old one better than the new one?

I would trade back, I like the 16610LV better but YOU have to get which one you like the most. There is a reason these 16610s are going up in price as I type.

Only you can make that choice. You should always go for the one you like best, however it is always best if you don't have to lose so much when flipping to get there though.

Why Flip!

Try to keep both, flip only if you really have to as your preference may change in the future and you'll be really angry with yourself if you flip the other way (again)

Both are great watches. You could flip back and forth 100 times....why not save for the LV instead of going for instant gratification? Maybe then you'll see if you really want it.

Don't you have the SubC in black?

I'd sell the LV and get something different instead, perhaps not even a Rolex. How many Rolex sport/tool watches do you need? Or get a vintage one instead. Variety is the spice of life!

Dude, I have bought and sold the same 14060M and Sub C twice. I definately UNDERSTAND where you are coming from. Buy the LV back. It's what you want. There is nothing sane about this watch addiction so just go with your heart.

If you are really concerned what others think, then you need to let others make your decision because you are concerned what they think rather than making yourself happy. Sorry if it sounds harsh, but it's the reality of your thought process.

I wouldn't go back to the old model, unless you have a problem with the Hulk's emeraldish tone of green. If you're lusting after the old case shape or the old Subs, then I would much rather keep the Hulk and start saving up for a SD 16600 or a vintage Sub (e.g. 5513).

I voted yes, the 16610LV was made in small #s for about 9 years total and I think it looks great and it is still under valued as a watch...
So I would say go for it, not to mention that you can always get the Ceramic 116610LV in the future

I say keep the ceramic, I love the new. I have had 3 16610 LV's and am on my second 116610 LV and for me all the improvements with the ceramics is just to hard to pass up

I personally wouldn't do it. I class it as a down grade. I own the new style LV so I would say that! IMO

downgrade? upgrade? is that based on the price?

im surprised people still using these terms thesedays

a cheaper piece doesnt mean it is inferior to those higher priced ones.... IMO of course

as long as you are happy. i own both, so i would say that
