frederique constant!
Is frederique constant a decent horology house with reliable movement?
I am curious as I do not own one. They have some stunning pieces. Thanks

They have some neat pieces, I do like the speake marin perpetual and steel tourbillion. Wish I got the revolution monolithic and am hoping they do a watch with Christian van der klaauw. They do have their line of mall shop looking watches but overall it's a good "value" brand especially at discount.

FC is owned by Citizen and to my knowledge is good quality and good value. I have handled a few references and they seemed like very nice pieces.

FC has the high frequency silicon escapement technology which is really cool. I hear it buzzes a bit because of the high frequency oscillations.
I do think they need to cover that up or just use exhibition casebacks to reveal the mechanism because in the models I've seen, it's shown in the front, and it's not a pretty movement. |

Some of their models look really nice though I have never seen one in person.

It seems as many if their designs are derivative of higher end brands. No doubt they do a great job. What models appeal to you? |
