Rolex trade for Motorcycle

So I’m selling my 2023 Harley Road glide with only 963 miles on it. A gentleman offered me a Rolex plus cash on top of it. It’s a 2023 Discontinued
41mm MOP Factory Diamond Dial Datejust Two-tone, fluted bezel on jubilee bracelet Full complete set w/ proof of purchase.

I’m asking around 25k for the motorcycle and was curious if this is a fair trade? Not sure if I would keep the watch but how difficult would it be to sell ?

Appreciate any input !

Selling a Harley for a watch now that's a new one.

I've no idea whether its a good deal or not but there is no way that I would sell a Harley for a watch, however you may have reasons for selling the bike which we are not aware of.

Also, I don't like MOP dials - period, so for me the bike stays.

You didn't mention how much cash on top that's a critical part of the deal

I’d never do a trade like this unless I really wanted the watch.

Selling the watch will be more difficult than the bike and 60% of the watch value. That watch in perfect condition at $16k but for you to sell for cash maybe $8-10k.

Bad idea bc the guy probably thinks the watch is worth a lot more like the Harley. Both sell for near half unless you’re a dealer or get lucky.

While it seems many may be selling their Harley nowadays, if you don't specifically want that watch i'd opt for an all-cash deal. Sell soon tho, heard Harley is having a situation....

It depends on the value the guy places on the watch and how much cash he is willing to give. There is a chance he has already shopped the watch and knows what secondary value is and is trying to get the most out of it by doing a deal like this. Contact a few Trusted Sellers and see what they would give you for the watch then you can have an informed discussion with the buyer. In the end, I would think once you drop the value on him he will go away real quick.

This! The watch he’s trying to sell is not that popular among men, I’m guessing. I would not even consider that deal, unless you absolutely love and want that watch. Also, why trade for something you then have to worry about selling. Tell him to sell the watch first, and make it an all cash sale.

Sounds like a really poor trade someone wanting to offload something that isn’t the best watch and make it your problem of what to do with it. If you aren’t keeping the watch I wouldn’t be doing that trade you’ll just get screwed over by someone else if you try and sell it.

Absolutely the wrong watch for that bike in any trade scenario.
To be honest you would be giving up a popular masculine bike for an unpopular oversized feminine style of watch.
The bike is easily more desirable in the resale market and that particular watch would be a tough sell in the secondary market even at half off the original price.
Cash is king here…

I would never trade my Harley for a Rolex. At the end of the day…. It is just a watch.

Pull the chrome off the HD

Sell chrome and bike seperately

Buy one really nice Rolex that you want.

$25k including the watch itself is a good deal. Anything else, is a firm no.

Nobody sold and made money on a Harley- either they stole it used or are a dealer. They are seriously the worst bike tech of any bike made that is not from china.

Rolex watches tend to hold their value well, especially limited edition or discontinued models like the one you're being offered. If you decide to keep it, you might find it easier to sell in the future if needed.
