Good luck with that, Jon. Which Jubilee....the older one with the clasp or the new one at more than double the price?

Sure! Just catch a flight and your in Paris in an hour or less. Cheap too.
Catch another flight and you in Zurich or Geneva in two. Not including the hour or two of airport time, but still very nice.

If I lived there I like to think that I would be taking lots of 3 day weekends to explore.

Anyway, IMO you UK blokes are very geographically fortunate!

Have to agree with this. The new fast Channell tunnel link makes it even better - 1 hour from Central London to Calais. I have taken advantage many times of the opportunity to pop over to the Continent by plane and train.

London - greatest city in the world

The dollar is kicking ass, so you may be able to afford much more in the way of Rolex. The new price list posted earlier on TRF when converted to USD enables the purchase of a GMT IIc (SS) for about $700 off US retail. If you get a discount in the UK, you could do even better. Just a thought.

I think I read somewhere on this forum that it's priced at £300 as opposed to the newer one which is £690....both brand new, of course.

Yep it is easy...If you have the cash and don't have an 11 month old hairball tearing the place up.

I honestly find it hard to get to London now and that is just over an hour away by train!!!!!!!!

I aint got no money to be travelling to no France...I'm too busy paying my AOL broadband bills to be able to speak to you morons!!!!!!!!!
